HERE IS A SAMPLE ITINERARY ...THESE CAN VARY FROM TRIP TO TRIP
| Day 1: |
Leave USA from our various airports. |
| Day 2: | Arrive Israel / Transfer to Nazareth (The Marriot ....what a lovely hotel, we stayed there last year as it was just opened. What a neat experience to stay in the town where Jesus lived most of his life.)
|
| Day 3: | Caesarea / Mt. Carmel / Megiddo (Valley of
Armageddon /
Nazareth / Tiberias (What an awesome time as we sit on the mountain of Megiddo, overlooking the valley of Armageddon. Teaching the Bible prophecies that will one day be fulfilled here. Mt. Carmel is also a favorite of mine, you can always sense God's presence and almost hear Elijah call "Where is the Lord God of Elijah?"
|
| Day 4: |
Boat Ride on Sea of Galilee / Jesus Boat +
Kibbutz Tour / Bathsaida /Tabgha / Capernaum / Golan Heights / Tiberias
|
| Day 5: |
Beit Shean / Jordan Valley / Jericho /
Authentic Site of Jesus Baptism / Valley of the Shadow / Lazarus Tomb /
Bethany / Yad V'shem / Jerusalem (It is always a thrill for me to baptize pilgrims in the Jordan River. This is emotional for many, as some have waited a lifetime for this moment. Oh the Valley of the Shadow....what an awesome spot, that many tours bypass. You'll cry as we visit Yad V'shem the museum of the Holocaust.)
|
| Day 6: |
Hills Of Jerusalem / City of David /
House of Caiaphas / Mt. Zion / Upper Room / Bethlehem / Jerusalem (On our tour we are more into seeing the land than seeing the churches...with one exception. I love the church built over the house of Caiaphas the high priest. I call this the Sistine Chapel of the Middle East. Wait until you see the star at Bethlehem...the most undisputed spot in all of Israel. This is the place where the baby was born in a manger. How can we forget the church in the upper room. It is as if we can still hear the wind blowing.)
|
| Day 7: |
Old City of Jerusalem / Pool of Bethesda /
Praetorium / Fortres of Antonia / View of Temple Mount / Western Wall /
via Dolorosa / Jaffa Gate / Garden Tomb & Calvary
(On this day we venture in to the Old city of Jerusalem. See if you can out shop me as we walk the ancient streets which are unchanged after 2000 years. The Western Wall will leave you in awe as we stop to pray. We will end the day nearby or hotel at Calvary and partake of communion at the Garden Tomb. This place will give your goosebumps goosebumps.)
|
| Day 8: | Qumran / Dead Sea / Massada / Ein Gedi (This is your vacation day, and by now trust me you will need it! We visit Qumran where they found the Dead Sea Scrolls. This was the area where John the Baptist lived in the desert. We venture to the Mount of Massada where we will take a cable car to this historic mountain, where hundreds of jews died under the roman seige. Visit Ein Gedi where David ran from Saul. And finally you will have a chance to float in the Dead Sea. You cannot sink because of the salt content.)
|
| Day 9: |
Modern Jerusalem / Scale Model Of Biblical
Jerusalem / Cardo Maximo / Temple Institute / Burnt house / steps of
Ancient Temple / Farewell Dinner
(This is our day to spend in modern Jerusalem. You will be thrilled at seeing the model city built to scale as it was in Jesus day. One of my favorite sites in Israel is the Temple Institute. Here you will see the preparations for the new temple. We will close our day with a Farewell Dinner at Abu Gosh, a famous Israeli restaurant. We will all share our favorite moments, exchange addresses and we will enjoy our last moments of fellowship with our group. You will be amazed how quickly we bond, sharing these wonderful moments together.)
|
| Day 10: | Early morning arrive in USA
(We get up EARLY EARLY EARLY, as we venture back to the states. We gain our 8 hours that we lost, and we are home again near the middle of the day. With so many memories to share. We will now begin each sentence with the same 5 words.... "When I Was In Israel"...) |
